Robby's "Gado-gado"

by Robby Sugama

"Gado- gado" is a famous indonesian food, it can be considered as indonesian green salad. The main difference is the dressing. Usually Western salads use thousand island, ranch, mayonaise, etc; but gado- gado uses peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is handmade and made on the spot. For indonesian people mainly it becomes the part of their breakfast menu. Actually this recipe is inherited from my ancestor. So enjoy!

3 Cups of Peanut Sauce
2 Potatoes
2 "Lontong" (Indonesian Rice Roll)
2 Cups of Beansprouts
2 Cups of Green Bean
2 Cups of "Kang Kong" (Indonesian Vegie)
Shredded corn and eggs
Deep fried fried onion and crackers!

First make your own peanut sauce, by drilling the genuine indonesian peanut. Then while the sauce simmers, bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to the boil. Add the potatoes and cook it for about 3 minutes. Add green beans and cauliflower and boil for a further 4 minutes. Lastly the cabbage and bean sprouts and boil for 2 minutes. Don't forget to rinsethe vegetables under cold water to refresh and clean it. Lastly serve it on plate with ideal arrangement and perfect composition and amount.
